Renewable Energy Equals A Cooler Planet
Global warming are two words that you probably hear repeated a lot on television or in the newspapers. The effects of global warming are dire. Scientists and researchers around the world tell us that the world is in for the kind of devastation that we have never seen before. We are being told that global warming is causing the earth's temperature to rise, and this in itself is causing all sorts of unintended consequences that we now refer to as global warming.
What sort of dire predictions and projections are scientists and researchers currently coming up with in regards to global warming? Global warming, the experts tell us, will cause the polar ice caps and glaciers to melt. This in and of it self will cause all kinds of devastating effects. For instance, the melting of polar ice caps and the glaciers will eventually, if the projections unfurl themselves to their fullest potential, cause the sea levels to rise. This will cause all sorts of devastating weather to occur. For instance, the rising sea levels will be in part responsible for undersea earthquakes that will then trigger tsunamis.
Earthquakes and other geological events are also effects that we can expect if global warming continues to develop unchecked. Experts also predict that hurricane seasons will become longer and more intense. Droughts in the deserts will become longer and more brutal. Dangerous heat waves will sweep across areas where it once was cool. In short, global warming is poised to offer us a whole selection of nightmarish scenarios.
Is there anything we can do about global warming? The good news is that there are many different steps we can take right now to fight the effects of global warming. Perhaps the biggest thing we can do to fight global warming is to switch to renewable energy resources. There is no way we can sustain the kind of fossil fuel-backed human activity that we have been doing since the launch of the industrial age.
What are some examples of effective renewable energy sources that can help us fight global warming? Examples of viable renewable energy sources that we can choose to use today in order to keep the effects of global warming under check include wind energy, solar energy and hydrogen energy. Many of these renewable energy sources are just now being developed in order to harness these sources of renewable energy.
In order to counteract the effects of global warming, we must experience a complete paradigm shift in how we view the planet earth. We can no longer regard planet earth as a thing that will always last, and we cannot expect to harness all of the earth's fossil fuels without any unintended consequences. Aside from producing too much greenhouse gases, the use of fossil fuels to back our thirst for energy is simply not viable since these fossil fuels are not renewable. Fossil fuels will eventually run out some day. That is why we need to develop renewable energy sources that we can harness for our energy needs without fear of further polluting the earth or running out of our energy sources.
Wind and solar energy are currently already in use in many sectors, but there use definitely needs to be expanded into a much wider use. Hydrogen energy is still in the process of being developed. It is the hope of scientists, researchers and many consumers that hydrogen renewable energy will prove a viable and simple way to power the world around us. With our hunger for energy and power, we need renewable energy sources now more than ever to keep our planet alive and well.
