There are some very interesting facts on global warming for kids which we should all be aware of. Do you even know what global warming is and how it is affecting the world around us? The global warming debate is one that has been ongoing for about a decade now. However, it has only really been over the past couple of years when scientists and other researchers have started to realize just how serious an issue global warming is. As the concentration of greenhouse gases grows, more heat is trapped in the atmosphere and this results in making the situation even worse.

This increase in trapped heat changes the climate and alters weather patterns as a result, which may end up hastening species extinction, influence the length of seasons, causing coastal flooding and leading to more frequent and severe storms.

We can already see the devastating effects of global warming, so we cannot afford to thak these dire predictions lightly.

Now if you really want to teach your kids about global warming productively, you want to teach them about all the different things that we all can do to stop or halt global warming, even though you on your own can only make a major difference. This is actually the biggest mistake that people make -- thinking that just because they are one person they cannot make a difference when this is really not the case.

There are a few easy steps that you can take to help deal with the effects of global warming: one being to reduce the amount of waste that you create. The amount of energy that you consume can easily be reduced, and you should start using renewable energy sources such as wind power and solar power. That way there is much less energy being used up, and global warming will not be so devastating to the Earth.

Another tip is to re-use, and you can do this in many ways, for instance using your old coffee grounds and fruit and vegetable peelings to make compost. This way you are recycling things but your garden will benefit as well. These are just a few of the many different things that you can do to help the environment and protect the Earth we live on as well.
